Industrial Infrastructure Sales Account Manager

Position Overview
Siemens is looking for an experienced Account Manager focused on selling the Smart Infrastructure (SI) Systems Portfolio of products and services in the industrial power market. You will make an impact by building strong customer relationships and a track record of success to win Switchgear projects with industrial end users, utilities, and industrial contractors/EPCs in the Western US.
This role reports to the West Region Sales Director and requires a strong background in power distribution equipment/switchgear sales for Industrial Power and Utility applications. Expertise in selling medium voltage and low voltage switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, and power automation solutions is required. A solid working knowledge of how Industrial Microgrids work and how the Siemens Smart Gear value proposition enhances electrical distribution power systems is essential.
This individual is responsible for delivering sales growth with an assigned account base and for developing and executing sales strategies for those accounts in coordination with other Siemens sales teams in the territory. Excellent account management skills are key to growing and expanding relationships. Prior success working within a matrix organization and across multiple departments to win large, complex power projects is a plus.
The candidate will need to effectively sell at several levels within a customer’s organization including engineering, purchasing, operations, maintenance, plant management, and corporate executives.
Industrial Infrastructure Sales Account Manager
This position will be remote in Arizona.
Role Description
Leverages Siemens global reach to influence decisions on projects for delivery to the customer in the US or purchased by the customer in the US.
Guides the development and execution of strategic account plans for industrial and utility customers to ensure the achievement of assigned business goals.
Will be responsible for forming project capture account teams and coordinating team activities to win projects while maximizing sales and internal collaboration.
Possesses a level of product knowledge that serves as a basis for guiding customer planning and budgeting on both product and electrical system sales.
Collaboration and communication with other Siemens sales teams is a must, therefore a proven track record of working in a matrix management environment is required.
Requires broad knowledge of Company products and proven experience in developing business plans and sales strategies that will influence customers towards a Siemens buying solution.

BS/BA in engineering or related discipline
5 to 7 years of Industrial Electrical Solution Sales or 10+ years of Electrical Distribution Sales
5 to 7 years of as proven record of delivering sales revenue and closing orders at key accounts or 10+ years of as proven record of delivering sales revenue and closing orders at key accounts
Travel up to 50% (regional west region)

Preferred Qualifications
3 to 5 years of Rare Earth Element Mining
5 to 7 years of Deep Domain Knowledge of Industrial Power Transmission & Distribution applications with Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Switchgear and Services or 10+ years Deep Domain Knowledge of Industrial Power Transmission & Distribution applications with Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Switchgear and Services
5 to 7 years of Strong Customer Relationships with Industrial Harsh Duty / Heavy Process sites and/or Utility sites or 10+ years of Strong Customer Relationships with Industrial Harsh Duty / Heavy Process sites and/or Utility sites
Proficient with bid process and packaging for large projects to lead capture teams to win projects

The pay range for this position is $89,670.00 - $184,320.00 and is eligible for Sales Incentive.
