Serve as the point of contact for client service activities and develop strategies to grow the transportation practice for various clients in Central Florida Identify, charter, and lead client service teams comprised of multi-disciplinary project managers and regional practice leaders around a common vision of success Facilitate creation of deep, personal, valuable client relationships between Jacobs personnel and client personnel to weave a broad-based relationship between our firm and the clients Advocate on the client's behalf by actively engaging the firm to address client needs, and recommend strategic actions to optimize our business development investment and market share growth Identify higher levels of client engagement for executive sponsors Secure management commitment and influence/attract key staff for pursuits Work with office/corporate leaders to develop strategies for key hiring on strategic pursuits, identifying key project pursuits, team growth, office growth, profitability, employee development and satisfaction Actively engage with project and sales teams to influence pursuit team on sales process discipline, win strategy and proposal development, interviews and presentations Coordinate and facilitate the sales process, including Go/No Go decisions, and help develop required sales costs aligned with opportunity potential and ROI objectives Participate in local industry events and community engagement Note:
The following are included as part of responsibilities and expectations: ownership of key client relationships and leadership of an account team to deliver outcomes for municipal and state clients in Central Florida, including potential Fed/FDOT-related projects. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, related to transportation, or equivalent related work experience in lieu of a degree 15+ years of expertise in complex, multi-discipline highway project design management Proven client development skills, including previous experience managing large capital improvement projects Proven track record of creating and winning transportation work in Florida, particularly with FDOT Sales knowledge on how to identify contracts, respond to RFPs/solicitations, interview and win new work Ability to collaborate with diverse internal teams, including sales staff, operations, market solutions technologists, legal, and contracting Ability to open doors for initiating relationships at client organizations to serve as a business leader by leading an account team, setting a vision and strategy, coaching/mentoring and motivating the team, and driving accountability to achieve goals Ability to manage commercial and legal negotiations and close deals Knowledge of and relationships with potential teaming partners, both large firms and small business partners Strong leadership, consensus-building, teamwork, technical writing, and client presentation skills Should demonstrate ability to be a leader in the Florida transportation market Willing to travel to client sites as needed Ideally, you’ll also have Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Florida or the ability to obtain it within 6 months Existing contacts and strong relationships with transportation clients, and a successful track record of winning work with these clients Proven ability to develop and sustain relationships with key clients at all levels Ability to lead through influence High emotional intelligence and team-building capability Innovative and solutions-oriented thinker with a track record of delivering differentiated solutions Client political savviness Salary, benefits, and conditions
The base pay range for this position is
$160,000.00
to
$240,000.00
per year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by location and factors such as skills, experience, and education. Jacobs health and welfare benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, stock purchase opportunities, and potential participation in deferred compensation plans. Jacobs offers an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, plus holidays and caregiver leave.
