Area Sales Manager
position at Outset Medical, Inc. This role is responsible for disrupting the dialysis market while selling a clinically and financially superior MedTech solution in Tablo. The candidate will leverage expert-level knowledge of the capital sales process, build facility-level sponsorship, employ strong solution-selling skills, drive change, and ensure sales objectives are met consistently. The role requires strategic discovery, executive engagement, project urgency, and solution selling at all levels of healthcare organizations. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Disrupt status quo by creating healthy tension to drive change. Follow a defined and complex sales process with an average sales cycle of 6-9 months. Build clinical, financial, technical, and administrative sponsorship through expert industry knowledge and intensive customer strategic discovery. Gain support from Nephrologists and Medical Officers. Identify key institutions, generate market awareness, and drive sales of the Tablo within an assigned sales territory. Develop expert-level knowledge of Dialysis. Make the economic case for Tablo through a robust hard dollar ROI. Ensure adherence to Company Quality policy. Negotiate complex contracts including software and IT provisions, cybersecurity, and business associate agreements. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 5 years sales experience in healthcare capital selling meeting and exceeding budget. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Desired Qualifications
10 years sales experience in selling disruptive MedTech. Experience selling Software Analytics and EMR integration. Ability to travel up to 75%. 3 years sales leadership experience. Selling in disruptive environments and influencing behavior change. Compensation
Base Salary: $125,000 + Commissions: $211,600 = OTE $336,600 Seniority level
