Job Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller with extensive experience in accounting and financial management, preferably within the construction services related industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of accounting experience and a strong understanding of financial principles and practices. As the Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team. Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting Develop and maintain a comprehensive system of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and industry regulations Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely completion Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy Manage cash flow and forecasting to ensure optimal utilization of company resources Oversee budgeting and financial planning processes, working closely with department heads to develop realistic budgets and monitor performance against targets Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making by the executive team Monitor industry trends and changes in accounting standards, implementing necessary adjustments Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities Implement and maintain financial systems and software to streamline processes and improve reporting capabilities Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information for project costing and pricing decisions Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior accounting role Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Company does offer medical benefits, PTO and a great positive environment! #J-18808-Ljbffr
