Overview Sr. Parish Financial Consultant role at Diocese of Green Bay. This position is full-time and benefit eligible.

Responsibilities

Oversee and perform financial, operational and compliance reviews of parishes and other diocesan entities on behalf of the Bishop.

Prepare individual parish financial analyses to be used in the proxy process.

Act as a resource to parish business administrators, bookkeepers, Finance Councils, and parish Treasurer Trustees on implementation of diocese standard accounting policies and procedures and on the use of diocese standard accounting software.

Minimum knowledge, experience and skills required “Embrace the mission and vision of the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay and work in accordance with Catholic Teachings and the moral and ethical values of the Catholic Church.”

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.

Five to seven years of progressive accounting experience required.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

MS Office, with strong Excel skills required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ethical and honest in all interactions.

Strong analytical and reasoning abilities, including planning, organizing and decision making.

Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to be patient while working with individuals with a diverse skill set.

Able to keep sensitive information confidential.

Preferred

Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.

Audit experience preferred.

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for nonprofits preferred.

Experience with QuickBooks, Great Plains, and PDS accounting software preferred.
