Budget Analyst

The Division of Budget and Capital Program Management’s Expense Budget Unit manages the agency’s $1.5B operating budget and $500M revenue budget.
Manage a portfolio of DOT budget and assist in monitoring agency spending.
Review and update program budgets for assigned divisions.
Perform technical budget exercises related to fiscal year-end close.
Analyze revenue‑generating operations and prepare revenue projections for discussion with Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
Develop and evaluate financial plan proposals to balance budget by reducing costs or increasing revenue.
A master’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, or related field and one year of full‑time professional experience in budget administration or a related area.
A bachelor’s degree and three years of full‑time professional experience in the areas described above.
Combination of education and experience equivalent to above.
Eligible for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs. New York City residency required within 90 days of appointment.
