Job Summary: Provides essential services for academic program quality, assessment, and accreditation compliance. Plays a key role in implementation of learning outcomes assessment, annual reporting for accreditation, teaching assignments, and curricular support for faculty. The position involves data management and analysis, project management to enhance the quality, efficiency, and compliance of academic programs in the School of Social Work.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform data cleaning and analysis of the annual MSW post‑graduation survey and manage the new BSW post‑graduation survey.
Generate reports to support data‑driven decision‑making for curriculum and program improvement.
Conduct qualitative data analysis of open‑ended survey questions to identify curricular strengths and improvement areas, collaborating to disseminate insights.
Analyze student learning outcome data and present findings to supervisor and committees to inform curriculum development and student support initiatives.
Conduct curricular cross‑walks to ensure coverage and assessment of social work competencies for accreditation.
Participate in assessment of learning outcomes, competencies, and the curriculum.
Enhance data collection procedures and analysis for annual program outcomes reporting for accreditation.
Conduct measurement research to improve measures to assess competencies and learning outcomes.
Perform duties as or under the Unit Liaison for Data Management and assist in managing and analyzing campus‑level data specific to our School.
Utilize campus Data Management & Institutional Research (DMI) systems to extract relevant program metrics for annual reporting and accreditation compliance.
Maintain a data and document repository, ensuring clear organization and accessibility for accreditation and reporting needs.
Collaborate with the Associate Dean for Academic Programs and other faculty to disseminate findings to contribute to generalizable knowledge about workforce trends and improve social work education.
Coordinate and implement teaching assignments in collaboration with the Associate Dean for Academic Programs and team.
Apply algorithms and timetabling tools to optimize instructor‑course assignments in alignment with school needs.
Assist with data collection and management to inform course assignment planning.
Gather records of faculty teaching preferences, sabbaticals, buyouts, and course releases.
Track adjunct and doctoral student instructor availability and update relevant databases.
Manage course scheduling data entry and track changes throughout the scheduling cycle.
Maintain database and recommend process improvements to streamline course assignments.
Facilitate documentation and communication of teaching guidelines, standard operating procedures, policy updates, and curricular changes.
Coordinate doctoral Teaching Assistant training, observation, and evaluation processes.
Provide logistical support for training programs, capacity‑building workshops, and professional development.
Support faculty professional development activities related to teaching excellence and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL).
Oversee new faculty orientation to teaching resources and mentoring opportunities for teaching.
Academic Programs & Curriculum Support
Maintain records of academic program and accreditation calendar year activities, deadlines, key decisions, and action items.
Review and make recommendations regarding technology tools and improved design of systems to help faculty track their teaching observations and evaluation documentation.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in social work (administration, macro), research/data management, data analytics or statistics, business management, educational leadership or policy, higher education administration, public administration, program evaluation, project management, or a related field. Experience in data management, analysis and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree. Experience in academic program and learning outcomes assessment, data management and analytics, project management, CSWE accreditation, teaching in higher education, and/or higher education technology and systems. Familiarity using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Shiny, Excel Power Query and PivotTables, Python).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information into clear protocols, processes, and reports. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple long‑range projects, meet deadlines, and maintain shared records. Strong analytical skills. Ability to administer online assessments and help improve the quality of measures. Proficiency with institutional data systems, Excel, Canvas, Qualtrics, and other technology solutions and tools to streamline processes. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, adjuncts, administrators, and staff. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing, emails, and meetings. Ability to use one or more data management tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R, SAS).
Appointment Information 100% full‑time visiting Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12‑month basis. The position may become permanent at a later date. Expected start date as soon as possible after the search posting closes. Hybrid work options may be available. Salary range $55,000 to $60,000. Sponsorship for work authorization not available.
