The Government & Public Sector-Financial Accounting Advisory Services (GPS-FAAS) team is growing exponentially, and as a Senior Manager you’ll play a key role in that growth. Our Government & Public Sector GPS-FAAS team works across Federal GPS sector service lines to help clients implement new ideas to achieve their mission outcomes. We deliver real change and measurable results through diverse, high-performing teams, quality work at the highest professional standards, and innovative ideas that drive value for our government clients. The opportunity As a Senior Manager, you’ll develop your career by communicating strategic goals, listening to and understanding our clients to provide an exceptional experience in a field with few off-the-shelf solutions. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across multiple service lines and build relationships to identify opportunities for clients to benefit from EY’s knowledge. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong, productive working relationships with audit client personnel, assess client satisfaction, and proactively maintain contact throughout the year. Direct field work, inform supervisors of engagement status, and manage assurance staff performance. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations. Develop people by delegating audit tasks and guiding assurance staff; provide performance feedback, training, and reviews. Contribute ideas to assurance teams and respond to colleagues’ views; foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment. Use technology to learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery. Develop an understanding of EY’s service lines and encourage team members to contribute ideas and apply firm services when appropriate. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business; 7 years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience with US GAAP in Federal context. U.S. CPA license in your work state. Excellent project management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills; collaborative management approach. Proven record of excellence in managing, mentoring, and improving a high-performing team. Commitment to teamwork and leadership; integrity in a professional environment. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Travel to client, EY, and contractor sites may be required; travel average 25-30% or more in a hybrid environment. Ideally you’ll also have CGFM and/or CDFM What We Look For

The base salary range in the US is $145,200 to $331,800; certain metro areas have higher ranges.
