Overview
Finance Development Program employee rotates through three 12-month assignments in different areas of Accounting/Finance. This is the first level of the Finance Development Program (FDP) and aims to develop understanding of John Deere's products and services, build a professional network, and gain experience in cost management, financial analysis, functional assignments and strategic planning. This position performs professional accounting and finance assignments requiring knowledge of Business Units, Company policies, and accounting theory, including coordinating, preparing, and analyzing financial information and reports for management decision-making. Responsibilities
Evaluate costs and identify variances or opportunities to improve profitability. Track budgets and report variances. Monitor and analyze data using established finance systems and protocols. Develop personal capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education. Develop knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and relevant regulatory codes to ensure work adheres to standards. Assist with the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure regulatory compliance and sound financial practice. Support the implementation of financial systems process changes and enhancements. Produce accurate reports by collecting and analyzing data from various sources and inputting into standard formats. Qualifications
Graduating with bachelor’s or master’s degree this year in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Economics or related degrees. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Minimum of 6 credit hours in accounting. Knowledge of accounting systems, processes, and practices. Ability to gather and analyze data. Willing to travel and relocate to any John Deere location in the U.S.; willing to relocate domestically. Assignments can be at various locations throughout the United States. What You’ll Get
