Senior Corporate Accountant (Real Estate)
EyeCare Partners is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to be a trusted member of the EyeCare Partners finance team focused on technical accounting matters. This position is part of the Accounting team within Finance, which includes subject matter experts over the entire enterprise accounting cycle. This individual will utilize their knowledge to manage and complete a timely month end close, prepare and post journal entries for proper accounting, prepare reconciliations, and support both the Manager of Technical Accounting and Joint Venture Controller. Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries to ensure transactions are entered into the accounting system accurately and by business day three each month Collaborate with various departments to ensure activity is recorded accurately and investigate items needing clarification Perform GL account reconciliations and monthly analyses of various accounts Provide accounting oversight of the information in the Tango lease administration software Maintain robust understanding of operating vs. capital leases and ASC 842 policies (e.g., when leases do not need to be accounted for on-balance sheet) Monitor closed locations to ensure timely recognition of any impaired right-of-use assets Reconcile rent payments between Tango and AP, ensuring alignment with lease amortization tables; assist AP with converting rent payments from checks to ACH Invoice and track all timeshare/sublease receivables with Real Estate team assistance Ensure accurate support for security deposits, including their payment and return when due Prepare lease-related balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly Manage landlord financial reporting requests Assist with joint venture accounting for accuracy and completeness, specifically non-controlling interest activities Assist with the annual audit process with external auditors Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting footnote schedules for the consolidated audited financial statements, as well as non-consolidating entities Participate in SAP enhancements to build a more automated process; request training as needed Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Master’s degree preferred 3-4 years’ experience in public accounting or working in a finance role within a public company preferred Basic experience with ASC 842 accounting Detail-oriented, professional attitude, reliable Strong management and organizational skills to support the leadership of this function Strong communication skills and ability to develop trusting relationships with other departments including divisional finance, real estate, and legal Licenses and Credentials

Proficient in Tango and Office 365 (Excel) Location
