Prepare and review financial reports and budgets. Monitor expenditures, contracts, and financial records for accuracy. Support grant and budget processes by tracking spending and deadlines. Help improve processes and recommend updates to strengthen efficiency. Assist with audits, reporting, and ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines. Provide support to staff and serve as a resource for resolving financial issues. You’ll also have opportunities to take on special projects and other unique assignments that keep the work interesting. Along the way, you’ll collaborate with different teams across the agency, building connections and learning new skills. Preferences

Knowledge of principles, concepts, practices, methods, and techniques of State and Federal governmental accounting, fiscal controls, and fiscal accounting. Knowledge of and ability to create and edit programs and use office software such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Knowledge of State Accounting Systems (WOLFS). Skills in time management and workload prioritization. Skills in analysis and decision-making. Skills in problem-solving. Ability to analyze financial reports and identify errors. Ability to train personnel in various programs and accounting systems. Ability to work effectively with staff in the Division, Department, and other state and federal agencies. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor\'s Degree (typically in Finance) Experience:
0-3 years of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Senior Accountant OR Education & Experience Substitution:
4-6 years of progressive work experience (typically in Finance) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Senior Accountant Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
