Position Overview We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our high-performing finance team. As a key member of our finance team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions that drive our business forward. Essential Duties : Prepare and maintain accurate bank reconciliations for multiple accounts Perform detailed account reconciliations including balance sheet accounts, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities Support accounts payable processes including vendor management and payment processing Process travel and expense reimbursements in accordance with company policy Run and maintain payroll for the US entity, ensuring accuracy and compliance Support benefits administration including enrollment changes and benefit reconciliations Assist with customer billing processes and collections activities Maintain general ledger integrity through accurate journal entries and account analysis Other duties as assigned Standard General Ledger & Senior Accountant Duties : Assist and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities Analyze account variances and investigate discrepancies Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis Support external audit processes by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests Maintain supporting documentation for all transactions and account balances Prepare analytical reports and summaries for management review Assist with sales tax returns and compliance matters Support implementation and testing of new accounting policies and procedures Monitor and maintain internal controls related to assigned processes Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies Assist with fixed asset accounting including depreciation calculations Support month-end and year-end accrual processes Maintain vendor master file updates and new vendor setups Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Proficiency in Excel and general accounting software applications Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated with ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications Experience with NetSuite ERP system strongly preferred Previous experience in a recurring revenue / SaaS technology company Knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administration Experience supporting external audit processes Familiarity with revenue recognition principles Work Environment & Expectations Position available as remote or hybrid arrangement for US-based candidates Must be available during typical East Coast business hours (9 AM - 5 PM ET) Regular attendance at department meetings is mandatory Ability to respond to requests and inquiries promptly No travel is required for this position Professional home office setup required for remote work Why Join Symplicity?
