The Salvation Army . Provide organization and coordination to the Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen program and property maintenance. Responsibilities include: Overseeing daily operations and food service at the soup kitchen, organizing volunteer groups for food preparation and service. Coordinating with volunteers and officers to develop ministry opportunities. Supervising cleaning and maintenance of dining and kitchen areas. Ordering food and supplies, keeping inventories stocked. Pursuing grant opportunities and providing monthly program statistics. Referring clients to community resources and coordinating with outreach ministries. Representing The Salvation Army on community committees. Supervising building and property maintenance, coordinating with contractors and service companies. Overseeing vehicle fleet care, updating maintenance contracts. Performing other duties as assigned by the Corps Officers. Supervisory skills, time management, and statistical tracking are required. Proficiency in MS Office (Publisher, Excel, Word, Access). Excellent communication skills, client assessment, and referral abilities. Must have up-to-date SERV Safe certification, a valid driver's license, and completed KeepSAfe training. Additional Details
