Job Summary OpenEye is seeking an Analytics Engineer II to join our Data Platform Team, a group dedicated to ensuring that enterprise data is accurate, reliable, and usable for AI, analytics, and business decision-making.

Working as a core member of the Data Platform Team, the Analytics Engineer will champion data cleanliness, modeling, and accessibility across the organization. You will transform complex, raw data into structured, business‑ready datasets that power everything from AI‑enabled features to product analytics and Customer Success insights. This work includes investigating and resolving data anomalies, restructuring or labeling data as needed, identifying and driving the capture of missing data points, and preparing AI‑ready datasets to support prompt engineering and model optimization.

In addition to core analytics engineering responsibilities, this position plays an important role in facilitating the data and analysis needs of the Customer Success organization, supporting high‑value reporting and analytics initiatives that ensure the enterprise operates from consistent, trusted, and well‑structured data.

Role and Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain analytics‑ready data models that support AI, product, and reporting needs

Apply consistent business logic, definitions, and transformations to ensure a single source of truth

Optimize data transformations for performance, scalability, and maintainability

Create and maintain documentation for datasets, models, and transformation logic

Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of key datasets across the enterprise

Collaborate with Database Engineers on schema design, indexing strategies, and governance standards

Implement and maintain data quality checks, validation rules, and monitoring processes

Work with engineering, product, AI, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver high‑value datasets

Partner with Customer Success, Product, and analytics stakeholders to ensure datasets meet operational and strategic needs

Support the AI Engineering and Enablement team by preparing AI‑ready datasets for copilots, agents, prompt engineering, and other AI solutions

Enhance ingestion pipelines and collaborate on data integration projects to improve data availability and quality

Support teams using Power BI, including designing optimized datasets and collaborating on semantic model design to ensure consistent metrics and reporting

Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Data Platform Team practices, tools, and standards

Stay current with industry trends in analytics engineering, integration, semantic modeling, and AI data readiness

Identify opportunities to improve data workflows, reduce technical debt, and accelerate time‑to‑insight

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, or a related field

2–5 years of professional experience

Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL

Proven experience in building and maintaining analytics ready data models and transformations

Hands-on experience with BI tools such as PowerBI or Tableau

Ability to quickly learn new technologies and practices

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Strong quality ethic and test-first attitude

Great communication and teamwork skills

The Perks

The pay range for this opportunity is $90,000 - $125,000 annually. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
