WORK LOCATION: 222 E. Central Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202 WORK HOURS: Full Time - 80 hours biweekly (Potential for Hybrid Remote Work Schedule) HOURLY PAY: $20.60 DEADLINE TO APPLY

Open until filled REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION)

Associate degree OR the equivalent of an associate degree (at least 94 quarter credit hours or equivalent in semester/trimester hours) with at least one 3-hour course in interviewing, office/information technology, basic mathematics, public relations, communications and nine (9) credit hours in English including grammar, writing, and composition; OR Two years of experience in public contact work involving interviewing and collecting, organizing, analyzing and interpreting complex data; OR Equivalent combination of education/experience All candidates must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal relations skills JOB DUTIES (SUMMARY)

Interview applicants/recipients to determine eligibility for public assistance (TANF, Medicaid, nursing home, supplemental and emergency assistance, foster care, food stamps) and determine budgets; verify documentation; approve or deny applications; explain rights and available welfare services; refer to other units/agencies as appropriate Receive and investigate complaints concerning assistance checks; maintain case records; prepare notices of suspension or termination; assist with forms and appeals; participate in hearings as needed Process corrections identified by quality control; answer inquiries via telephone or correspondence; attend necessary training BACKGROUND CHECKS

Background checks per OAC 5101:2-5-09 must be completed at employment and every ten years, including SACWIS, state child abuse registries, BCI, FBI, and NSOPW SenioritY level
