The Associate Litigation Attorney will manage and litigate complex civil cases, focusing on personal injury defense and construction defect litigation. This role is designed for attorneys with 3–10 years of relevant experience who can take ownership of cases, contribute to case strategy, and represent clients in various legal forums. Responsibilities
Independently manage a caseload of personal injury and construction defect matters from inception through resolution Draft and argue dispositive and procedural motions (e.g., motions for summary judgment, demurrers, motions to compel) Conduct and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses Perform detailed legal research, prepare case evaluations and recommendations for clients and insurers Attend court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences Participate in all aspects of trial preparation, including strategy development, witness preparation, exhibit organization, and jury instructions Communicate regularly with clients, claims professionals, experts, and opposing counsel Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and firm initiatives Maintain accurate timekeeping and documentation in compliance with billing guidelines Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school Active admission to the California State Bar (required) 3–10 years of civil litigation experience, with a preference for personal injury defense and/or construction defect litigation Experience handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, and client reporting independently Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills Strong organizational, time management, and file management skills Experience managing litigation budgets and reporting to insurance carriers is preferred Admission in Nevada, Arizona, and/or Utah is a plus Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Ability to travel for depositions, hearings, or in-person meetings as needed Pay range and compensation
