Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with team members and external parties
Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc. to advance active litigation files
Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action
Advocate on behalf of clients at various litigation settings
Use internal proprietary software to update and document account status
Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and files, ensuring workflow aligns with firm and client expectations
Comply with all client and firm standard operating procedures
Travel to courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Admitted to practice law and in good standing in Texas
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly motivated self-starter
Eagerness to learn
Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of one year of litigation/trial experience
Working knowledge of civil procedure
Debt collection experience
Prior experience in high volume environment
Physical Qualifications
Be able to lift five pounds or more
Be able to sit 90% of the work day at times
Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed
Be able to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence
Be able to communicate in a common language verbally and/or in writing
Be able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device
Be able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule
Be able to travel occasionally when needed by the most efficient means of transportation
Compensation Base salary range: $90,000–$105,000 per year, plus applicable bonus.
