Assistant Controller

Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close Prepare and analyze financial statements, general ledger, and budgets Review and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and maintain balance sheet schedules Reconcile and validate entries to balance sheet and income statement accounts Assist in managing working capital, including weekly project cash reports and recording transfers/wires Assemble, submit, and track equity funding or loan draws Support budgeting, forecasting, and project-level financial reporting Assist in developing accounting procedures and strategies to improve record-keeping and reporting Complete forecasting and analysis to ensure accuracy of job cost reports Collaborate with development directors on project budget management Support Controller with audits, compliance, and team leadership initiatives Qualifications Of The Assistant Controller
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA preferred but not required 4+ years of accounting experience, including general ledger and reporting work Experience with Sage or similar ERP/accounting software Construction industry experience is a plus Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
