Non-Exempt Job Description

Typical business hours are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday; some overtime may be required. This is a starting position for the sales force. You are expected to work closely with others as part of a team focused on promoting company growth and servicing customers, as you will be their main point of contact. Loan Officers can structure their time to accommodate client time zones or peak hours for sales calls. Self-management of time is required. This position is non-exempt. Purpose

Loan Officers serve as primary contacts for Borrowers and Retail Operations during the loan origination process. They should proactively generate their own client base or work with leads provided by Bank of England Mortgage. Staying informed about new loan types and financial products is essential to meet customer needs. Loan Officers must meet or exceed weekly/monthly production goals and communicate regularly with their Manager/Supervisor. They should meet deadlines, maintain compliance, and resolve issues across departments while providing excellent customer service. Essential Functions/Duties

Market and promote company initiatives through outbound calls, emails, direct mail, events, networking, and advertising to generate interest from potential clients. Develop a pipeline of prospective clients by identifying potential decision-makers and setting up meetings; tailor approaches to client needs. Build rapport with new clients, support relationship development, and present new solutions to retain customers. Handle objections effectively, using persuasive and negotiation skills. Manage client accounts through follow-up, communication, and accurate record-keeping. Develop business within the real estate and construction sectors, focusing on pipeline development, networking, and closing deals. Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer needs. Attend industry events to identify new opportunities and generate leads. Assist applicants with loan applications, gather documentation, and input data into Encompass System. Review financial information, prepare mortgage files, and analyze applications for eligibility. Facilitate the mortgage application process by coordinating with Borrowers and internal teams. Explain loan options and terms to customers, and handle complaints professionally. Coordinate with Underwriters, processors, and closers to ensure smooth loan processing and closing. Ensure compliance with RESPA, Regulation Z, Fair Lending, HMDA, BSA, and other regulations. Review and approve loans within limits, update files, and ensure accuracy and completeness. Maintain confidentiality and high service standards to protect the company's reputation. Participate in regular meetings and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Position Requirements

High School Diploma or GED; college preferred; degree desired. Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, Mortgage Software). At least three years of recent experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer in banking. Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to adapt to changing demands. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Encompass experience preferred. Strong verbal and listening communication skills for interaction with management and clients. Results-oriented, with assertiveness, perseverance, and energy. Effective problem-solving, planning, and time management skills.
