OSHIIP is seeking a candidate to supervise a team of insurance complaint analysts and support positive outcomes for complicated Medicare issues. Your Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Plan, direct, and supervise activities within the assigned division Supervise and provide training for insurance complaint analysts Review complaints regarding Medicare and ensure proper procedures are followed Analyze and coordinate multi-divisional complaints Take appropriate administrative actions, including referrals and coordination with federal agencies, statewide organizations, and internal divisions Develop and implement policies and procedures related to staff development, division workflow, and customer service Define division goals and objectives Speak before small and large groups Develop and coordinate internal training activities Represent the department at professional conferences The final candidate can expect to be paid at step 1 in the pay range as a new hire, unless otherwise required by legislation or union contract. As an Insurance Complaint Analyst Supervisor, you will receive an increase after six months, then an annual step increase until reaching the last step in the pay range. There are also opportunities for annual cost of living adjustments and a longevity pay supplement after five years of state service. Qualifications include: 10 years of experience in the insurance field (regulatory or industry) working with insureds or insurance contracts, including compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, standards, and insurance principles, as well as statistical analysis; plus 6 months of computer operation experience or training. Or completion of 10 courses in insurance, with 7.5 years of relevant experience as described above, including computer experience. Or completion of an undergraduate program in insurance, communications, business, or liberal arts, with 8 years of relevant insurance experience, including computer experience. Or 24 months of experience as Insurance Complaint Analyst 3, 67233. Or equivalent qualifications as noted above. Job Skills: Insurance
