Opportunity
EY Private Tax is a growing practice focusing on privately held companies—from family‑owned businesses to private equity‑owned entities. You will provide technically demanding tax planning and compliance services across a diverse portfolio of high‑growth private companies.
Your Key Responsibilities
Preparing or reviewing federal and state tax returns for U.S. corporations and some partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements.
Providing tax research, drafting tax memoranda, and quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services.
Identifying and communicating significant tax matters to Senior Managers, Managing Directors and Partners.
Liaising and developing relationships with other service lines and subject‑matter professionals.
Building effective long‑term relationships with clients and tailoring service to their unique needs.
Communicating complex tax issues to non‑tax professionals and clients.
Maintaining your reputation in your field by updating and sharing technical best practices.
Managing, coaching and developing a team of tax professionals and reviewing work.
Identifying and reacting to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
Skills and Attributes for Success
A bachelor's degree in a related field and tax/business/financial planning experience.
A CPA certification or membership in the Bar.
Prior experience with ASC 740 tax provisions.
Excellent collaboration, negotiation, and confidence to challenge stakeholders.
Minimum of 5 years of professional services or tax experience.
A commitment to continuing learning.
Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or Lexis Nexis.
Willingness to travel as needed and to work in a hybrid environment.
Experience managing, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.

A comprehensive compensation and benefits package with a base salary range of $106,500 to $195,100 in the U.S.
