Secret – Current Responsibilities

Maintain smooth operation of voice and data networks; plan, evaluate, coordinate, and perform installation or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and voice communication networks. Develop technical expertise in voice and data networks hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, including switches, routers, firewalls, authentication servers, encryptors, etc. Work with network management software platforms and propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, optimizing cost savings and aligning with future requirements and required network uptime. Prepare or ensure that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions, technical diagrams, and other documentation; assist in developing documentation where none exists. Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short‑ and long‑range planning for in‑house systems. Assist with coordination of third‑party maintenance for network equipment or vendors for third‑party support. Work outside normal business hours (evenings and weekends) as needed and follow established procedures under general supervision. Qualifications – Required

Minimum 4 years of relevant network or IT systems administration experience, or a bachelor’s degree with less than 2 years of experience. Experience with networking equipment such as Cisco (or equivalent) routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems, including software upgrades. Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility. Qualifications – Preferred

Experience with Cisco ISE, 802.1X, SolarWinds, and government network client/server environments. Active Security+ and/or CCNA certifications. Experience with current cabling and fiber standards, access control lists, security posture, and vendor best practices. Visio diagramming and design capabilities and 1–2 years of experience with network management software. Willingness to travel domestically as needed and knowledge of classified computing, STIG compliance, and network refreshes. Benefits & Compensation
