FPP Contract Specialist (DOH/PHD/FHB #11114)
Join the New Mexico Department of Health as a FPP Contract Specialist. The NM DOH Family Planning Program (FPP) State Office staff work on fulfilling Title X grant requirements, including overseeing the quality of Title X services provided in Title X clinics statewide. This position works closely with the Fiscal Manager to ensure that the state procurement process and federal financial requirements are followed accurately and that grant funds are used in compliance with Title X, Title V, and Personal Responsibility Education Program regulations. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of financial documents Preparation of professional services contracts and provider agreements Processing vouchers for payments for goods, contracts and provider agreements Processing forms for travel, travel advances, and recoupment Ideal Candidate: High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables Possessing strong communication and writing skills Experience working with accounting and financial reports Documented work experience in SHARE Financial system Ability to work in a team environment and independently, with a positive, team-oriented, and supportive attitude Minimum Qualification: High School or Equivalency and two (2) years directly related work experience in accounting, auditing, finance, and/or budgeting. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience. Employment Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment Working Conditions: Office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Position might require frequent travel. This position is not covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
