Salary:

$21.96–$32.94 hourly; $45,680–$68,520 annually.

Job Summary This position provides financial and administrative support to the New Mexico WIC State office that includes the Nutrition Services, Breastfeeding Promotion, WIC and Senior Farmers Market Programs, and WIC Regional field staff. The role is part of the WIC State Office Finance team, which manages an annual budget of approximately $57 million, and serves as a regional backup for purchases and accounts payables.

Responsibilities

Assist with procurement by obtaining quotes, preparing purchase orders, change orders, payment vouchers, operating transfers, maintenance contracts, and other vendor services.

Act as the regional backup for purchases and accounts payables.

Submit daily ACH reconciliation (first review) and ensure monthly rebate invoices are generated with appropriate backup documentation and approved by the Finance Manager or Director before submission to the Rebate Manufacture.

Update the rebate module with the submission date and the amount reimbursed, posting this information to the General Ledger.

Monitor Travel and Training Request forms for State and Region for accuracy prior to obtaining WIC Finance approval.

Prepare purchase orders for registrations, airline tickets, hotel accommodations, and other related expenses.

Ideal Candidate

Experience with SHARE Financial, purchasing, and invoicing.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Capability to multitask, work as a team, and communicate effectively.

Minimum Qualifications High School or Equivalency and two (2) years of directly related work experience in accounting, auditing, finance, and/or budgeting. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.

Employment Requirements The work is performed in an office setting with exposure to visual/video display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. The position requires extended periods of driving, lifting up to fifty (50) pounds, and occasional overnight travel. Environmental factors may include exposure to communicable diseases, moderate office noise, heat, cold, and smells.
