Plaza Heights Christian Academy (PHCA) is seeking a passionate and experienced Elementary Principal/Preschool Director to provide visionary leadership and Christ-centered guidance for our preschool through 5th grade programs. This individual will oversee academics, curriculum, staff, and student discipline, while fostering a positive, nurturing, and spiritually grounded environment for students, families, and faculty.
The Elementary Principal/Preschool Director will serve as a vital member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the Head of School, and will play a key role in upholding PHCA’s mission to partner with families in educating students to grow in Christlikeness, knowledge, and skill.
This opening is for January, 2026. If the position is not filled for January, we are also seeking candidates who are available to fill the position in July of 2026.

Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of curriculum for preschool through 5th grade. Ensure academic excellence and alignment with ACSI standards, state/national requirements, and PHCA’s Christian philosophy of education. Support teachers in setting instructional goals, developing lesson plans, and assessing student progress. Lead the evaluation and adoption of instructional materials and resources. Supervise and mentor preschool and elementary faculty and staff, fostering a culture of professional growth and collaboration. Conduct teacher evaluations, classroom observations, and provide constructive feedback. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new teachers and staff. Promote a Christ-centered workplace culture of encouragement, accountability, and excellence. Oversee student discipline, maintaining consistent, biblically based standards of behavior and character development. Work closely with teachers and parents to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students. Create a safe, supportive environment where students are encouraged to grow spiritually, academically, and socially. Family & Community Engagement
Partner with parents as the primary educators of their children, providing communication, guidance, and support. Build strong relationships with families through regular communication, meetings, and school events. Represent PHCA positively in the community, supporting outreach and enrollment efforts. Administrative Duties
Collaborate with the Head of School on school-wide initiatives and policies. Manage daily operations of the preschool and elementary divisions, ensuring a smooth and effective school environment. Assist with accreditation, compliance, and reporting requirements. Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning for school growth and improvement. Qualifications
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to Christian education and ministry. Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s degree in Educational Leadership preferred). Valid teaching certification; prior classroom teaching experience required. ACSI Administrator Certification or State Certification (or currently working toward certification). Proven leadership skills in an educational setting, preferably with preschool and elementary students. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to lead and inspire others through servant leadership, modeling Christlike character. Core Competencies
