Front Desk Agent (Full-Time) | InterContinental Miami Downtown
Location: Downtown Miami

Overview As a Front Desk Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests, handling transactions, providing local insights, and ensuring a friction-free check-in and check-out experience. You’ll help create a warm atmosphere that makes guests feel at home.
Responsibilities
Offer an enhanced experience to every guest upon check-in.
Provide a warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience.
Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone.
Take and manage guest bookings, identify up-selling opportunities, and share ways to improve a guest’s stay.
Handle cash and credit transactions.
Check guests in and out efficiently, verify IDs, issue room keys, and manage safety deposit boxes.
Record and act on guest preferences; address messages, requests, questions, and concerns.
Be a trusted contact for guests and involve management when necessary.
Follow safety procedures, report incidents, and wear required protective gear.
Maintain professional appearance and act as a brand ambassador.
Stay informed about daily events and activities.
Assist with ad-hoc duties as needed.
Qualifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to handle guest concerns and compliments gracefully.
Strong problem-solving skills to turn issues into positive experiences.
Fluency in the local language; additional languages are a plus.
Proficient reading, writing, basic math, and computer skills.
Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
High school diploma or equivalent; college/university degree is a bonus.
Experience in front desk or guest service preferred (ideally 1 year).
Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg) as needed, with bending/kneeling involved.
What we offer Hourly pay range: $17.50 – $18.00
