Key Responsibilities • Your day to day
Prepare and cook orders for daily operations, including cold food and batch items such as sandwiches, salads, cold drinks and desserts; follow food preparation standards.
Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assist in receiving items and taking inventory as required.
Assume kitchen duties such as washing ware or other tasks as needed.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards to meet health board inspection and InterContinental requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized work area, including reach‑ins, walk‑ins and counters; report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
Perform associated opening, closing and prep work duties; set up stations and replenish supplies.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & requirements
Strong – may need to lift, push and pull objects up to 50lbs (23 kg); bending, kneeling and stooping may be required.
Literate – good reading, writing and basic math skills.
Flexible – work nights, weekends and holidays.
Compliant – meet local laws on food handling and serving alcohol; must be above minimum age and fluent in local language.
Articulate – warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to.

Compensation and benefits Hourly pay range: $18.00 - $20.00.
