Recruit, hire and train employees, ensuring excellent customer service. Develop and assign tasks to keep the site clean, adequately stocked, organized and up to company standards. Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors. Schedule employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service and maintain site image. Demonstrate leadership in non-discriminatory management, including hiring, training, counseling, motivating and, when necessary, separation of employees. Develop positive relationships with suppliers and promote excellent service by resolving customer complaints promptly. Promote a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community. Prepare ongoing performance appraisals and provide performance-based feedback in writing. Train employees on customer service, site image, marketing execution and safety procedures. Ensure effective communication with all employees and establish periodic meetings with site staff and Market Manager. Evaluate and implement action plans to meet site objectives; organize and maintain site files and manuals. Ensure merchandise is stocked, attractively displayed and priced correctly; ensure required employment posters are visible. Analyze daily sales and expenses to maximize sales and net profits; manage budgets and margins; safeguard and account for all money handled. Perform other financial analyses as needed to support business goals. Ensure all required reports are completed accurately and timely by supervising store staff. Qualifications
High School diploma or GED preferred. Experience in retail sales preferred. Experience to perform essential duties and work under the described conditions. Ability to supervise and train staff on equipment and materials listed in relevant job descriptions. Ability to supervise and manage referenced CSR and ASM functions. Computer literacy for site reporting, inventory control, cash control, and related tasks. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for bank and management meetings. Ability to communicate (oral and written) in English. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Working Conditions
Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks (parking lot maintenance, gas pumps, trash removal). Exposure to occasional cold temperatures in walk-in areas and to noise. Work with minimal supervision and demonstrate effective management leadership at all times.
