The following describes the general qualifications, duties, and responsibilities for a Store Manager position within Circle K. This description may change periodically as required by business necessity. Responsibilities
Recruit, hire and train employees who deliver excellent customer service. Develop, manage and assign tasks to ensure the site is clean, adequately stocked, organized and well-kept based on Company standards. Maintain a professional image among subordinates and supervisors. Schedule employees within Company guidelines to maximize customer service and maintain site image. Apply non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training, counseling, motivating and separating employees. Develop positive relationships with suppliers and resolve customer complaints in a timely, professional manner. Promote a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community. Prepare ongoing performance appraisals for all employees and provide performance-based feedback. Train employees to meet customer service, site image and marketing standards. Train all employees on safety procedures and promote safety awareness. Establish timely and effective communication with all site employees and the Market Manager. Evaluate and implement action plans to address site needs and achieve objectives. Organize and maintain site files and manuals; ensure required reports are completed accurately and timely. Ensure merchandise is stocked, attractively displayed, and priced correctly; ensure required posters/signs are accessible to all employees. Analyze daily sales and expenses to maximize sales and net profits; budget and forecast P&L lines and understand margins. Safeguard and account for all money handled; perform financial analyses as needed. Operate in working conditions that may include indoor work with outdoor duties (e.g., cleaning, parking lots, pumps) and occasional temperature extremes in walk-in cooler/freezer. Qualifications
High School diploma or GED preferred. Retail sales experience preferred. Ability to supervise, train and use equipment listed in related CSR/ASM job descriptions. Ability to use computer skills for reports, inventory control, cash handling, and related tasks. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written). Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Working Conditions
Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor duties; exposure to outdoor elements and noise. May work with minimal supervision and as an active manager, supervisor and leader at all times. Legal and Accessibility
