Overview
Memorial Cancer Institute (MCI), part of Memorial Healthcare System, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its team. Be part of an exciting build by joining the newly opening Breast High-Risk Program, whereby a team of specialized providers dedicated to breast cancer surveillance and prevention will provide risk assessment, counseling, genetic testing, risk reduction counseling, and surveillance to women at high risk of developing breast cancer in their lifetime. Prevention is the first step in cure this is truly an opportunity to make a difference!
Responsibilities
Work alongside genetic counselors and genetic counselor assistants, with other APPs dedicated to high-risk screening and surveillance, under the direction of an MD medical director who will guide programming and outreach.
Qualifications
National Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification or a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or Master’s equivalent) from an ARC-PA accredited program
Physician Assistant Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Florida license (to be obtained by date of hire)
Schedule Schedule requirements are Monday through Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, with no weekend or call expectations. This is a full-time clinical role with no OR or hospital rounding expectations. We offer competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience.
