Overview
Join SPIRE Hospitality as a Safety Coordinator responsible for protecting hotel guests, associates, and assets by implementing and monitoring safety, security, and loss prevention programs. This role works closely with the Engineering Department, hotel leadership, and the Home Office Loss Prevention team to ensure a safe and secure environment in compliance with company policies and local regulations. Responsibilities
Perform routine security patrols throughout the hotel, including guest areas, public spaces, and restricted access zones; monitor surveillance systems and enforce access control and key management protocols. Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency services as needed. Conduct investigations and prepare comprehensive reports on incidents, hazards, and safety-related concerns. Oversee and support life safety compliance efforts, including inspections, system monitoring, SDS/First Aid readiness, and participation in Safety Committee initiatives. Deliver and support safety training, orientations, and education programs for hotel staff; assist with ADA compliance and interactive dialogues. Manage security logistics such as package handling, theft prevention, loss tracking, and auditing of employee-issued property and parking credentials. Partner with internal departments and corporate Loss Prevention to implement safety programs, conduct audits, and support special events security. Compensation
Hourly range: $23.00 – $24.50 per hour. Physical Demands
Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift or carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable performing inspections in varied environments, including confined spaces or outdoors. Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Prior experience in security, loss prevention, or law enforcement preferred. Familiarity with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and incident documentation practices. Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local security and safety requirements.
