The YMCA of Orange County has an immediate need for a Fitness Instructor.
Teach fitness classes; develop fitness routines, exercises, and choreography for participants.
Implement fitness programs based on the National Association and branch YMCA standards.
Promote programs to members and participants.
Record participant counts, distribute and collect program evaluations, and report incidents.
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping.
Follow and enforce safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Hiring Criteria The minimum qualifications required for this position are:
Education & Certifications:
CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory. Specific certifications such as Yoga, Pilates, Les Mills, Zumba, Cycle are preferred. SGX Spartan Coach Certification is a plus.
Experience & Background:
At least 2 years of Group Exercise Instruction experience.
