Inside Sales Representative (Remote - Central or Eastern Region) Note: This role operates remotely and requires residence in the Central or Eastern Region of the United States, including those in Central or Eastern Time Zones. Yelp connects people with great local businesses and, in this role, you will work with local businesses to help them meet their goals through Yelp's advertising programs. You will communicate with small business owners via phone to tailor solutions that support their growth. What You'll Do
Educate, strategize, and discuss Yelp advertising programs with business owners via high-volume outbound dialing. This role is 100% phone-based and fast-paced. Maintain and manage a pipeline of clients (e.g., dentists, florists, restaurant owners) in our CRM (Salesforce). Work from home on a Monday to Friday schedule with a set start time (e.g., 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; or 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.). Become an expert in Yelp’s advertising solutions and provide product recommendations to match client needs, using probing questions and handling objections to drive outcomes. Master quick close techniques to exceed individual goals and navigate qualification to close while ensuring customer satisfaction and potential upsell opportunities. Track and manage daily goals to achieve results and consistently hit monthly quotas. What We're Looking For In You
Strong learner with the ability to translate training and feedback into action; resilient in the face of rejection. Ability to multitask across tabs and screens and use video conferencing tools. Proficiency with tools such as Google Suite and Salesforce; comfortable learning new software. Curiosity and a readiness to ask questions to find answers. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate in virtual settings across states. High integrity, teamwork, grit, and persuasive communication skills. Adaptability to handle new challenges and tough conversations with a positive attitude. What It Takes To Succeed
GED/HS Diploma and 2+ years of customer-facing experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree. Willingness to make a high volume of outbound calls and be comfortable on the phone. General computer and email proficiency; experience with Google Suite and a MacBook laptop provided by Yelp. Distraction-free work environment and openness to feedback for improvement. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize tasks independently. Current US work authorization. What You'll Get
Starting base salary of $37,000 per year with uncapped commission eligibility. Average Year 1 on-target earnings around $50,000, assuming minimum performance expectations are met. Opportunities to exceed target earnings for top performers. Benefits starting on day one: medical, vision, and dental insurance. Paid time off: 15 days per year (accrual) for the first 2 years, with increases after 2 years; 7 paid wellness days; 12 paid holidays; 1 floating holiday.
