Job Summary The

Account Coordinator , working with the On-site Account Coordinator and reporting to the manager of onsite operations, will provide office and on-site logistics support to our client(s) using JD Edwards software and Cornerstone Edge Software. This description outlines the general content of and requirements for performance of this job and is not an exhaustive statement of essential functions, responsibilities or requirements.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

Provide customer service in a dry goods shipping facility (customer location, Olive Branch MS)

Serve as Liaison between Cornerstone Systems and client(s)

Utilize customer’s and Cornerstone’s proprietary software to create optimal truck routes, dispatch truckload shipments, and track truckload deliveries

Plan freight for all truckload and LTL shipments originating at client facilities; plan and assign carriers for all truckload shipments; plan multi-stop routes, as needed

Organize the client’s current shipment orders and compare them with the client’s available material, using JD Edwards software and Microsoft Excel

Identify and schedule changes needed to the material prior to shipping; confirm pre-scheduled changes to the material prior to preset ship date

Resolve, or coordinate resolution, of all inventory control issues which impede outbound shipping from client facilities

Develop long-term relationships with carriers to provide a comprehensive service to clients

Assist and backup the On-Site Coordinator with highway truckload pricing, as needed

Regular and reliable attendance required

Perform and/or assist in the optimization of routes to provide the most efficient and cost-effective transportation for the location(s)

Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

Minimum Knowledge, Abilities And Skills

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or related field preferred

2+ years of related work experience within the transportation or logistics industry required

Must be flexible, willing and able to travel to Cornerstone Headquarters, located near Germantown, as needed

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Proven leadership skills

Cost management experience preferred, but not required

Possess a strong sense of urgency

Strong negotiating skills

Effective oral and written communication skills

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

Experience with JD Edwards preferred
