We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long‑Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell’s High‑Speed Vertical Take‑Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop‑fold aircraft.
This role is onsite in Ft Worth at Bell’s Drives System Center (DSC).
Responsibilities
Directly responsible for the productivity of the team and assigned quality objectives. Evaluate business impact regarding metrics, activity reports, delivery schedules, manpower, etc.
Managing in accordance with the local production union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Achieving objectives in a matrix work environment and working effectively with multiple functions (such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Quality, Engineering, Programs, etc.).
Developing, supporting, and implementing process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships with external and internal customers.
Qualifications
This candidate should be creative, entrepreneurial, and an empowering team leader.
This candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, and data-driven, with a strong sense of urgency.
Effective interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organization skills.
Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. What you need to be successful.
Bachelor’s degree required OR at least 5 years of work experience in Quality Assurance and leadership in manufacturing may be considered equivalent to bachelors degree.
A minimum of five years directly related Quality experience or a leadership role in manufacturing.
Quality Audit experience and AS9100 knowledge preferred.
Experience managing a unionized workforce is strongly desired.
MES, SAP, and other Bell Systems familiarization.
Strong understanding of Bell’s Quality Management System.
Ability to work multiple shifts.
2nd shift for leaders runs 3:00 pm to 12:30 am on a 9/80 schedule.
Able to work weekends as needed for overtime as the business needs require.
This role does not offer Bell Textron relocation assistance.
