Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions promptly and courteously, assist with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend items, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guest experience. Support the shopping environment, visuals, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system; handle receipts and ensure high-quality guest service. Respond to guest questions in person or on the phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits, such as new title reservations, trade-ins, and Pro Rewards. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on company policies and procedures. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address issues to align with guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document performance feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, job training, and compliance training for associates prior to openings or closing shifts. Schedule associates to meet staffing guidelines; supervise staffing for optimum guest service levels. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify pay for time worked. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising according to guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing as appropriate and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete required administrative duties. Perform stock management: counts, restocking, and ensuring products are represented and organized on the floor. Balance and reconcile daily transaction totals; manage closeout paperwork and daily bank deposits as needed. Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and report issues to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls accurately with proper labeling. Maintain safety, report injuries per guidelines, and keep store records organized. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures; follow opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. Retail management experience preferred (6+ months). Retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred (2+ years). Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills and Abilities

Outgoing and welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine and individualized guest assistance. Clear verbal and written communication; English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and work independently or as part of a team. Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs; some physical duties may be required. Working understanding of military ranks and insignia (applies to stores on military bases).
