Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teach philosophy courses using a variety of effective methodologies and provide engaging learning activities.
Provide academic advising to students to support their academic and professional goals.
Engage in professional development activities to further the quality of teaching and learning.
Participate in institutional and community service initiatives that enhance the college’s mission.
Summary The instructional faculty role encompasses teaching and learning, academic advising, professional development, and institutional and community service.
The successful candidate will establish courses following higher‑education standards, support the college curriculum, and encourage student learning.
Qualifications
Must have completed at least eighteen (18) graduate hours in Philosophy and hold a Master’s degree (official transcript required).
At least one (1) year of experience teaching philosophy in a public secondary school, community college, or senior college.
Experience teaching writing‑intensive philosophy courses and logic preferred.
Strong commitment to student success, collaboration, and innovative teaching.
