Overview

From product concept to production, the Electrical Technician provides technical assistance to engineers by defining and performing tests and analyzing results within our RMA team. What You’ll Be Doing

Below are some key responsibilities of the role. Conduct product verification tests Perform product CE and UL compliance tests Troubleshoot issues that may arise from testing Document test data Design and build optical and mechanical test setups Electrical and mechanical component level qualifications What You Bring To The Table

Associate degree in Electronics or related field 0-5 years experience working in an engineering environment Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel and Word Experience soldering, interpreting schematics and using basic electronic test equipment Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work with multiple discipline projects and to multi-task Good time management and organization skills Good analytical and problem-solving skills Able to work with a group as well as independently Preferred

0-2 years experience Experience with electro-mechanical products or general knowledge of both electrical and mechanical testing methods Experience with Arduino programming Experience with photoelectric industrial sensors used in manufacturing environments Soldering skills at the PCB level, including fine pitch/small parts such as 0402s, parts with large thermal pads, BGAs, etc. Mechanical aptitude with strong hands-on skills for wiring simple prototype electrical boards and building simple fixtures Familiar with various types of test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.) Understanding of electrical schematics (microprocessor-based systems), drawings, charts, etc. Ability to assist Electrical Engineers in testing, troubleshooting, and re-working electrical boards Experience with oven testing, compliance testing, and functional testing; electronics-related testing at the system level, including debugging Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel for data logging and communication Experience with parts-based systems, such as Oracle or similar systems Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. What To Expect At Work

Physical Demands: Sit for up to 8 hours per day; Exposed to a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day; use of a computer mouse, keyboard, and standard office equipment; required to talk or hear frequently; ability to use arms, hands, and fingers to reach, handle, and feel to complete tasks Working Environment: Corporate office environment – indoor and climate-controlled; exposure to moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, and temperature changes in production areas; PPE may be required in specific areas (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection) Core Values
