Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns quickly and courteously, assist with video gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the shopping environment and current sales initiatives; foster guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including completing changes, bagging merchandise, and providing receipts with top-notch service. Respond to guest inquiries in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in, and Pro Rewards programs). Assist the Store Manager with training and setting guest service expectations for store associates; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Monitor associate performance, provide feedback, and address issues in alignment with company standards. Provide recognition and written performance feedback into the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding and mandatory training for store associates prior to shifts; maintain knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethics. Schedule store associates to meet coverage and guest service goals; supervise staffing for optimal service levels. Approve payroll, manage paid time off, and verify time records for accuracy. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure equipment is functional. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing as needed and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the team in achieving sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete administrative duties. Perform inventory counts, restock merchandise, and ensure items are represented and organized on the sales floor. Balance daily transactions, manage closeout paperwork, and ensure adequate cash and change; make bank deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies, conduct inventories, and report issues to the Store Manager or District Manager. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain safety awareness; address hazards or injuries per company guidelines. Keep store records neat and up to date; ensure manuals are current. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to all GameStop policies and procedures, including the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Open and close operations per procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills & Abilities

Outgoing personality with strong people skills; provide genuine, individualized guest assistance. Clear verbal and written communication; English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; work independently and in a team. Meet performance expectations (attendance, safety, appearance, respectful workplace). Operate POS system and perform basic mathematics and filing tasks; complete required paperwork accurately. Flexible schedule with availability including nights, weekends, and some holidays (minimum 3 days/week). Stay reliable, trustworthy, and capable of handling pressure; problem-solve creatively. Ability to work alone; stand/move for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs and handle ladders as needed. Onboarding: understand military ranks/insignia where applicable (stores on military bases). Compensation: $15.25 - $16.25 per hour. Benefits include participation in incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Bonus and/or other incentives may be available.
