Flight Operations Specialist job at Rampart Aviation LLC. Colorado Springs, CO. Rampart Aviation LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), FAA Part 135 and DoD Commercial Airlift Review Board (CARB) certified company that conducts operational, maintenance, and training aviation support operations across the U.S. and internationally, 24/7, 365. This position is an entry level role for someone with knowledge of and experience with 14CFR 91 & 135 flight operations management. Responsibilities

Reports directly to the Flight Operations Manager. Coordinate with the Chief Pilot regarding crewmember qualifications and training currency. Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance regarding aircraft airworthiness status. Coordinate with the Director of Flight Operations daily and as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations. Be knowledgeable in flight following, logistic support and make time-dependent logistical decisions relating to safety of flight, security, personnel, and costs. Proactively monitor weather and air traffic control status and any schedule interruptions to client services and stakeholders. Obtain, monitor, track, and disseminate operational restrictions to daily operations and flight crews (e.g., NOTAMs, noise restrictions, FBO hours, and airport capabilities). Enter post-flight information into reporting systems for tracking and initiate safety reports into the SMS as applicable. Brief and briefed crewmembers in accordance with the Operations Manual, OPS Specs, policies and procedures, FARs, and department guidelines. Ensure trip sheets and other required documents are sent to and received by appropriate personnel and crewmembers. Maintain safety of passengers and aircraft; maintain department records for accurate reporting and currency. Communicate passenger requirements to the flight crew; maintain liaison with flight crew and maintenance. Monitor flight and duty time and crewmember qualifications; monitor aircraft maintenance compliance requirements. Ensure crew and aircraft assignments are current; provide computerized flight plans and weather/NOTAM packages as requested. Qualifications and Competencies

Entry level position with knowledge of aviation operations. Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate (Not required). High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher preferred. 2+ years of experience in customer service; airline industry or operational experience preferred. Reliable, self-motivated with a positive attitude; ability to multi-task to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. PC proficiency in Microsoft Office and general internet applications. Ability to work any shift including evenings/night, weekends, holidays as needed. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Minimal physical exertion; ability to lift up to 30 lbs; exposure to noise and chemicals as applicable. Other Eligibility and Requirements

Acceptable driving record; ability to pass a background check; zero tolerance for drugs. Comply with DOT 49 CFR Part 40; if required, must be able to obtain TS clearance. Work Environment and Schedule

Includes professional office environment with exposure to weather and aircraft operations; on-call 24/7 as needed. The position requires working shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and variable hours. Compensation and Location
