Our Café Kitchen Manager is responsible for supporting the Café General Manager in all aspects of operations within their café, including hiring, training, scheduling, team leadership, inventory management, profit and loss, hospitality, and food safety. This individual must maintain the highest commitment to quality with a collaborative approach. The Café Kitchen Manager drives exceptional standards in food preparation and presentation as established by the Director of Culinary. This role requires at least 45 hours per work week in café. This position is not remote. Salary commensurate with experience. What You’ll Do

Accountable for tracking kitchen-related financials such as food cost, labor cost and inventory Maintains food safety and sanitation standards Oversees BOH operations and is responsible for training and managing BOH team members Drives financial success through strong leadership and active coaching Meets all deadlines regarding ordering, inventory, invoice and schedule submission Maintains a standard of excellence for all food received, prepped, held and presented Upholds food quality standards by adhering to company recipes and build sheets Maintains a clean and safe work environment for team members and guests, ensures all equipment is functioning, and uses resources to find solutions; supports GM with adherence to R&M budget Orders food accurately to prevent waste and ensure availability Implements Ascension Coffee standards as directed by Brand Leadership Participates in special events including off-site catering and functions Coachable: receives and implements feedback quickly Approachable: forges strong interpersonal connections with folks of all skill levels Impactful: communicates concepts clearly to engage others Culture: contributes to an inclusive, quality-focused culture with thoughtful communication Qualifications

Restaurant kitchen operations experience required Food and Beverage Manager certification Reliable transportation, able to travel to all locations Able to work nights and weekends Strong team-building skills, clear communication Great organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and intuitive resourcefulness High initiative and self-management skills, willing to take direction Ability to stand for extended periods of time (approximately 8 hours per shift) Job Details
