Position Overview
The Parker Jewish Institute, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking a Per Diem Dietetic Technician to join our skilled nursing facility team. This vital role provides essential nutrition services to support the health, happiness, and wellbeing of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, verify, and maintain accuracy of all diet orders
Provide menus to new admissions
Retrieve communication sheets
Modify resident/patient menus according to therapeutic needs
Assist residents/patients with menus as needed
Enter menus into Geri Menu, nutrition computer program
Post weekly menus on units
Print and separate daily meal tickets
Position Requirements
Associate’s Degree in Food and Nutrition
Prior experience in a long‑term care environment strongly preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills, friendly and sociable, capable of providing comfort to patients
Team member who embraces a high level of care, compassion, and teamwork
Vaccinated against COVID‑19
