Overview
As a Maintenance Mechanic at Parker Jewish Institute, you will be responsible for general building repairs and preventative maintenance assignments. You will carry out assignments, inspections and maintenance of gas, plumbing, electrical, electronic, HVAC systems, painting, grounds maintenance, as well as other assignments as needed to keep the facility and its equipment in good working condition for the comfort and safety of residents. Responsibilities
Perform general building repairs and preventative maintenance tasks. Carry out assignments, inspections and maintenance of gas, plumbing, electrical, electronic, HVAC systems, painting, and grounds maintenance. Complete other assignments as needed to ensure facility operations and resident safety. Position Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Four (4) years of apprenticeship training in one or more trades (documented) or four (4) years of experience in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, masonry, or one of the mechanical trades Must have a clean and active NYS Driver\'s License Must have and maintain a valid FDNY and G71 certificate of fitness required by FDNY Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Team member with a collaborative, compassionate approach to patient care Why Work at Parker
