As a Mill Sales Manager for Valmet, you will play a key role in building and maintaining solid working relationships with our customers, understanding their needs, and identifying how Valmet can partner with them to ensure the right solutions at the right time. This requires a firm grasp of the sales process and a willingness to work cooperatively with our customers and internal experts to ensure the highest levels of service. Your responsibilities include coordinating equipment upgrades, rebuilds, repairs, and parts and services within your specified territory. You will have the opportunity to apply your experience in marketing and brand building to achieve key business goals across all Valmet’s product lines. You will be responsible for promoting and selling the full Valmet offering while staying actively involved within your assigned region to fully understand and analyze the market for product growth. Your duties will include providing updates on sales, projections, bookings, proposal activities, costs, and other customer-related activities. This opportunity could be ideal if you hold a Bachelor of Engineering, Science, or Business Degree, combined with 5 to 10 years of relevant technical experience in roles such as machine engineer, process manager, paper mill operations, maintenance management, or commercial and account management with suppliers serving the pulp and paper industry. An equivalent combination of education and experience, including sales, will also be considered. To succeed in this role, you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will participate in and lead equipment audits, on-site services, data collection, inventory audits, or other customer support activities related to paper machine roll services or specific customer contracts. You will also help develop a territory sales forecast and budget for your accounts, including competitor analysis.
