The Sales Associate role is an integral part of the store’s overall success and efficiency: demanding direct attention to our brand commitment when servicing our customers and driving results. Responsible for upholding Coach’s Service and Selling Models, creating a positive first impression, building on-going customer relationships through a personalized experience, and leaving a positive, lasting impression. Responsibilities
Sales Floor: Demonstrates Coach’s Selling and Service expectations at all times. Understands local market changes and supports the execution of local sales strategies and tactics. Drives business through sales strategies, clienteling, sourcing new customers, and maintaining ongoing productive relationships with customers. Builds credibility as a personal fashion advisor with knowledge of fashion trends and competition. Provides in-depth product knowledge, including features, benefits, current offerings, and overall product value. Communicates current pricing and promotional strategy to customers. Uses cross-selling and add-ons relevant to the customer’s shopping needs. Tailors approach by reading cues and attending to unique shopping needs. Works with multiple customers, follows up consistently to influence/close sales, and flexes selling techniques to contribute to store financial results. Builds lasting relationships and uses Coach’s tools and technology to support clienteling. Maintains a calm, professional demeanor at all times. Represents Coach as a brand ambassador and fosters a team selling environment. Operations: Completes daily operational tasks without impacting service or standards. Maintains store, backroom, cash wrap, and visual merchandising to Coach standards. Replenishes inventory, supports the store inventory process, processes shipments, stocks shelves, and maintains organization. Assists with cash-wrap when needed and processes transactions (purchase, return, exchange). Prepares the store by organizing functional areas and maintaining cleanliness and visual merchandising. Demonstrates adaptability to changing business needs and remains solution oriented. Welcomes feedback and maintains teamwork, trust, and collaboration with internal and external customers. Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 1-3 years of previous sales experience, preferably in a luxury retail service environment. Knowledge of fashion trends and marketplace competition. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Technical: Knowledge of cash register systems, basic computer skills (iPad/laptop, Mobile POS, Internet), walkie-talkie usage, ability to read price and product release sheets. Physical: Ability to work at a fast pace; communicate effectively; maneuver on the sales floor, shelves, and stock room; ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds for shipment transfers. Schedule: Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays with high retail traffic and sales days. Pay, Benefits & Additional Details
Base pay range: $15.00 to $19.50 per hour.
