What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Prospect and research potential school and district partners, initiating outreach through calls, emails, and social media
Qualify leads by understanding their needs and schedule appointments for Account Managers
Build relationships with educators and administrators to promote Scholastic Reading Events
Maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM system and track progress toward sales goals
Collaborate with the sales team to refine outreach strategies and enhance lead generation efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail, district/territory sales, or event management
Proficiency with MS Office and experience with Sales Automation or Customer Relationship Management software
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers, superiors, and customers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
Leadership qualities demonstrated in previous roles
