The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows company standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The role requires engagement in assigned tasks across store areas as business needs require and may include additional tasks to support customer service and operational goals. Essential Functions

Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do. Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment; keeps egress clear and reports unsafe conditions to Store Leadership. Treats all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; is friendly and professional at all times. Recognizes fellow Associates using Company recognition programs. Assists Customers as needed — register-trained, assists with merchandise, and answers questions politely and Knowledgeably. Greets Customers with eye contact, smiles, and a verbal greeting throughout the Store; thanks customers at checkout. Provides prompt and efficient responses to Customers; responds to service calls and escalates to Store Leadership when needed. Represents and supports the Company brand at all times. Performs cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, disinfecting high-touch areas) to maintain merchandise, customer, and Team areas. Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the Company’s dress code. Performs daily assigned sizing and recovery to ensure a neat, clean, organized store that is well-maintained and merchandised to standards. Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor, merchandising items per presentation guidelines and maintaining brand familiarity to assist Customers. Understands Loss Prevention Awareness, MOS policies, and merchandise protection standards; safeguards confidential information, cash and customer data. Follows cash handling procedures and maintains accuracy in transactions. Demonstrates urgency to perform duties efficiently and to minimize steps and touches in workflow. Competencies

Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative manner. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments. Physical Requirements

Ability to use all Store equipment, including POS systems as required. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the Store for up to 100% of the working time. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and stoop; ability to push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds (20 pounds for stockroom shifts). Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities
