Sam's Club is seeking a Merchandising Lead to enhance member experience, manage inventory, support associates, and drive operational excellence in the Houston, TX market. Base Pay Range
$20.00/hr – $28.00/hr Responsibilities
Deliver member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, and providing guidance and support. Assist members with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and resolve member issues and concerns. Supervise associates in assigned area by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Receive, stock, and organize merchandise, maintain sales floor by utilizing equipment and merchandising, and complete required documentation. Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting and hazardous material handling procedures, and reporting unsafe situations to management. Maintain merchandise presentation on sales floor by properly handling claims and returns, stocking, arranging, organizing merchandise, setting up displays, and signing and pricing merchandise. Monitor food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls, and sanitation standards are followed according to company policies. Oversee picking and staging of club pick up orders to ensure products are selected and staged according to policy and procedures. Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; analyze and apply information from multiple sources; monitor progress, results, and identify and address improvement opportunities. Lead and participate in teams by determining customer needs and business priorities, coordinating and executing work assignments, providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved. Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older. Minimum 6 months retail experience AND 6 months customer service experience. Preferred: Leading a team, supervising experience to include hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others. Compensation
Base hourly wage: $20.00 – $28.00/hr. Additional premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Benefits
