Overview
Rental Sales Management Trainee role at Ryder System, Inc. This position is designed to be completed in 12-18 months and provides general Rental Management training in addition to specific training in Finance, Operations, Human Resources and Sales/Marketing. The incumbent will be assigned to operational and administrative tasks in support of location and regional management. This program is fast-paced and touches every aspect of the business unit. Location: Grand Rapids, MI Job search context: This is a trainee program with structured work weeks, rotational Saturdays (depending on branch location/hours), and a competitive pay plus OT. Handling the sales and process for inbound calls as well as outbound solicitation Maintain current and accurate data within the company\'s marketing database Generate rental, lease and used vehicle sales leads Manage all rental asset processes including Vehicle PM and cleanliness standards Meet overall Ryder market share by effectively executing sales and marketing initiatives Maintain compliance with company, local, state, federal and other regulatory agencies Reconcile customer concerns, issues and disputes to maintain relationships and grow the customer base Additional Responsibilities
On a voluntary basis and based on scheduling, the Rental Management Trainee may perform the role of On-Call Representative as determined by Supervisor Performs other duties as assigned Skills And Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexible to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment High energy, self-motivated, self-directed, able to focus on multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment Ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail oriented with strong follow-up Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge Ability to relocate in the region/US at the conclusion of the training program Computer literacy at an intermediate level Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree required in business administration or a related field One year or more customer service with issue resolution experience preferred Computer literacy at an intermediate level Travel and Compliance

Compensation ranges: Minimum to Maximum Pay Range: $52,000. Salary type: Salaried. The compensation offered may be influenced by experience, education, location, market data, internal equity, and other factors.
