Our team was born out of an entrepreneurial spirit to bring high-quality lighting design to the Southeast US market. Lighting design is an evolving field, and we aim to serve as stewards for lighting design, protecting the night sky, and transforming spaces with light and shadow.

About the Role We are seeking a senior lighting designer to join our team. The role offers leadership opportunities, including managing a team, with responsibilities split roughly 50% design and 50% project management.

About You

Strong background in lighting design, whether in lighting, theater, architecture, or a related field.

Hands-on practical experience with lighting and design studio experience.

Experience managing architectural lighting projects from start to finish.

Ability to work independently, research, and problem-solve creatively.

Proficiency with Revit & BIM360, Vectorworks or AutoCAD, Dialux, AGI32, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.

Preferred experience with Twinmotion, Rhino, SketchUp.

Primarily in-person in Knoxville, TN, with hybrid/remote flexibility; remote considered within Southeast US.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or higher in Lighting Design, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Theatrical Lighting, or related field.

5+ years of experience in architectural lighting design.

Participation in industry professional organizations and certifications.

Passion for design, architecture, research, and aesthetics.

Responsibilities

Monthly review of project fees and manpower planning.

Apply project scope to task development to meet deadlines.

Deliver full projects with ownership of tasks, with input from Principal in Charge.

Work efficiently and profitably while managing multiple tasks.

Maintain client relationships.

Organize work, projects, and resources effectively.

Travel for site visits, punch lists, mock-ups as required.

Job Details Full-time, 40 hours/week, in person or hybrid, with a salary range of $70,000 - $85,000, based on experience, education, and qualifications.
